under system preferences > keyboard/mice > keyboard shortcuts

I'm trying get it so that when I press alt/option + apple/command + m
it opens Activity Monitor (located in under utilities)

when I initially did it it worked once ... then after that it just kept minimzing my windows .... so i thought it was interferring with an already set hotkey ... apple/command + m (which is minimize?) ... then I changed the keys ... and it won't work with anything I've tried ... alt + m, ctrl + m, ctrl + alt + m ...... etc ... nothing works (I get a "ouhh" noise)

what to do?

FIXED!!
one other problem ... stickies was working for me ... but now when I open up the program I don't see the usual sticky window ... i've tried creating new stickies, minimizing them then click "bring all to front", but they are still invisible!! ... I know they are being created because they show up in the window menu ... and I know its working cause when I create a sticky and start randomly typing ... the window name in the window menu changes from untitled to whatever i just typed ...

where are they?

I just installed Warcraft and I have the no cd image on the desktop ... the game won't run unless that image is on the desktop ... but I'm minimalistic ... how do I hide the icon?
sorry ... i'm still a newbie mac owner

thanks so much for your time ...
your advice/help is much appreciated

I can't help you with the shorcut issue or the stickies problem. but I think I can help with the Disk Image issue ... if you drag the image into a folder or you local HDD it should stay there, I know i've done it and it has worked ... but it is also my first Mac so ...
Good Luck !

actually i fixed the stickies problem ...
lucky find i guess ... i went into preferences folder (under library) and deleted a stickies file ... then it works now!

the warcraft III no cd disappears when I restart my computer ... so i've copied it onto my hd ... no i just have to move it to the desktop when i want to play .... does that sound right?

You don't have to move it back to your desktop to use it, you can just run it from the folder on your HD ... or just make a link to it in the dock (just drag the file into the dock and it will create a link for you) so you can run it from there ...
