Hi folks.

I have some troubles with my Powerbook G4 867Mhz (CD-RW model).
For the first time, I tried to burn a 700 MB CD-RW. However, the finder
recognize it only as a 660MB disk. Does that mean that my Tibook cannot
burn 700MB CD? Or is there a way to do it that I am unaware of?

While I'm at it, I have another strange problem. I tried to find a solution
to this CD burning problem with Mac Help... I type 700MB in the
question field... And then Mac Help crashed... I relaunched it and now,
every single time I try to query a question in Mac Help, it crashes.

Console reads something like :

2004-06-25 18:37:02.770 Help Viewer[341] -[HelpIndex _extractRemoteRootAndNetworkFilePreference:] caught a VTWIN exception. Bad index file is /Users/XXX/Library/Caches/com.apple.helpui/Mac Help/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/pgs/pgs idx

How boy! What is that now?

Anyway, some help (about Help and/or CD burning) would be appreciated...

All right, looks like I should have been more careful
when doing my homework before posting... I made a
search in the powerbook forums, but more info was
avalaible in the Mac OS X forums.

Basically : OS X finder WILL NOT recognize any blank CD
bigger than 670 MB. I used the excellent Firestarter FX
burning utiliy found on the project Omega web site.

As far as the help viewer problem is concerned... I had
a look on Apple's forums... I trashed the preference
file and the cache. Now it works again, but looks like
the fonts are bigger than they used to be... A minor
nit pick, but still annoying nonetheless....
