I just ordered an iBook from the Apple site and got my tracking #. Turns out it's being shipped from Taiwan (I live in New York). Where did your iBook originally come from?

If I remember right, all the laptops have been coming from contractors from Asia for years. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Yep seems they ship from there, I went and found some old threads about it. Main reason I asked was because I never recieved computer equip from out of the country.

I will be a total n00b to OS X, My PC is going to be strictly for gaming. So I may be back here with some questions not answered out of the box.

thx

Our iBook came direct from Taiwan, and it was even delivered (to Central Texas) several days early. Enjoy.

Zoom,

That's about how fast our iBook was shipped. The Apple site gave us a "projected shipping" date, but the computer was shipped way before that-it was even delivered about a week before it was projected to ship! All very cool. Now, when you open up the box, try to keep your hands steady...you don't want to drop it in your excitement!

Enjoy!
