What to do w/ battery, hard drive, ect w/ new Powerbook

What are specific thigns I should do with the battery and whatnot when I receive my powerbook? Also, should I someone said, "install OS again w/ the cd's? Anything else?
15" Powerbook G4 1.5
512 MB, 80GB 5400 Hard Drive
Superdrive, AP, Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard
20 GB 3G iPod

Do not charge the Powerbook until the battery has been drained once. This should keep it calibrated correctly. That should be all.

Re-installing from the cd's is just silly, and there is no reason to do that. It's more trouble than its worth, and in the end you will end up with the same thing your Powerbook came with. If this were a Windows machine, you would want to re-install Windows to get rid of all the OEM junk, but on a Mac it's just silly.

Ok, anything else. So right out of the box, do not plug it in, just use the battery power and drain it, then charge it 2nite?

Yep. Just run the battery till its out. When its out it will sleep and not wake up. Plug it in and you'll be set to go.
