Has anyone used these screen cushions?

http://www.transintl.com/accessories/ibook.htm

The description SEEMS to imply that they keep the screen from touching the keyboard during transport. I called up Trans International & they couldnt' really answer my questions.

I've been putting a piece of paper between my screen & keyboard for the last few years (currently using an ibook 800mhz G4, 12"). I"d like to be able to skip this step if possible, but it isn't a huge deal. I don't want to waste $20 on something that isn't going to do what I'm looking for.

I am sure they will work to an extent. But you are only supporting the perimeter of the screen, not the middle. So any pressure on the middle of the iBook's screen will most likely result in the keyboard and screen touching.

I would recommend a keyboard cover, or screensaver (as some call it). Its just a piece of microfiber cloth that covers your keyboard when you close the lid and prevents marring of the screen. Check these two sites out for more information. I have been using them ever since my first iBook and I have never had any problems with marking of my screen.

Hope this helps!!
