Hello everyone. I have been looking around for a more powerful speaker for my 14 inch iBook, because while the built in speakers are okay, they are not as powerful as I would like them to be. I really like the Apple Pro Speakers because that means they are also portable and now with Griffin Technology's iFire, it will be possible to use these speakers that really are only reserved for the iMacs and G4s. The problem is that with the iFire you have to use the firewire slot, which I am currently using for an external hard drive, and since there is only one, it makes my situation kinda suck. I would really like speakers that use the audio jack. I've looked at the harman creatures and they are nice, but are they really portable? I dont think so. My other option is to find speakers that use RCA connetions since I already have a audio cable that use analog RCA audio out plugs which I use to connect my laptop to my home stereo for watching DVDs on tv.

So if anybody can help me find nice speakers that will enhance the sound coming out of my iBook (mostly from iTunes) that would be excellent. I really want one that matches the style fo the iBook and apple like the clear plastic or glossy white surface. Well any of you guys's (and girl's) help will be appreciated. Thanks.

iFire is your only option for the Apple Pro's ... short of rewiring them (which can be done)
