Hey guys....
A friend of mine was using his 14" ibook last night and was going to burn a CD
He put in the CD and it spun for about 10 sec and then it spit it out
He pulled it out and noticed that at the bottom of the disk there was a piece of triangluar velvet with a hole it it stuck to the bottom of the CD....Stuck because the bottom is sticky with like glue or someting
So he grabbed anoter CD from his stack and pushed it in and would take it in until he pushed it almost all the way in the drive.....The it did the same thing. Spun for about 10 sec and then spit it out again....
Because of the last time, he pulled it out and flipped it over and there was this sticky stuff all over the bottom of the disk....

Now he is concerned that it is not taking the CD's like it did and whats this sticky stuff??

Anyone have some ideas?
Who reads this???

Well, all I know is "that ain't right." Something's broken, or someone was sticking glue and velvet where he shouldn't have.

The same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago, with my 12" iBook G4; Apple repaired it, no questions asked.
