just some observations on my 12" revC, now that i've been on it all day, almost every day, for 2 weeks (or close to it)...

this is a beautiful powerbook; side-by-side with my (now sold) pismo, made the pismo look bulky; the screen is brighter, sharper on the 12".

light, easy to carry around (and i am carrying it a lot more than my pismo).

fits comfortably in the shinza sleeve (and tossed into a backback).

about 4 1/2 hours battery life (with a pretty-dimmed but still easily viewable screen).

nice, quiet keyboard, a pleasure to type on.

decent sound, nothing exceptional, but, with a little eq-tweaking in itunes, not bad (for what it is...)

fast...well, faster than the pismo. showed it's strength playing an avi movie perfectly (where my pismo had an almost-impossible time with audio/video sync).

shows itself extremely well with logic (audio recording/mixing app); mixed a few things on the pismo; but here, working with multiple tracks was joyful, fast.

better audio from the line/headphone jack.

not crazy about the jacks on the side; on the pismo, i never saw them (in the back); well, it DOES look tech-y...

having said that; getting a bluetooth mouse, and airport express: so, no print cable, audio, mouse. running on batteries (often), and wireless (more often)...so, less wires anyway (soon).

worst thing: heat. the heat on the leftside, and underneath, can be pretty unpleasant, but...guess it goes with the territory. will live with it.

overall, my favorite mac to date (my fourth), and my favorite powerbook (finally beating out the 2400c, a beauty in it's day).

anyone thinking about a new 12"...highly recommended!

I must agree to everything. My 12in got to me the day after it was announced, love it to death.

BT mice are super nice. Makes everything happy.

Now if only Apple would fix their Nvida graphics card driver issues... maybe my games would be a tad bit better.
