What I haven't figured out is how you find out what "rev" you have. Somebody school me.
Yup, "rev" refers to revision, usually speed bumps, better graphics chipsets, and sometimes features. It depends on the model. For instance the 12" and 17" Aluminum PBs were announced when the 15" PB was still in Titanium form. You just need to know the specs on the model to match it up to the corresponding Rev. Download MacTracker from VersionTracker.com to get the specs on all the revs.
e.g. The Rev. A 12" and 17" used NVidia graphics chips, and only had USB 1.1. The 12" had a mini-VGA port, while the most recent Rev has mini-DVI out.
The Rev. A 17" was a 1Ghz G4, the Rev. B was 1.33Ghz and the Rev. C is 1.5Ghz. The G4 chip in the Rev. C is slightly different than the ones previously used, but you'll never notice the difference. Power management is the most significant change in my mind.
I owned a Rev A. 15" AluPB (1.25Ghz) and now have a Rev. B 1.5Ghz 15". The battery size increased in this revision as it did for the B->C change for the 12" and 17". Apple sometimes takes the time to fix small problems such as the tension of the screen hinge, etc. These changes are almost never documented.
Hope this helps! It would be a lot to go through all of the changes for each model. Just know that the all current models have standard Airport like Powerbooks should!!!
