Hi, i have recently purchased an ibook from pc world in the Uk, around 3 months ago. Howeverm I have suddenly noticed that the white part around the screen, where it is printed with the words "iBook" has started to come away from the black part (the actual screen). This means that the ibook doesnt close properly, as this bend in the actual casing forces it open again.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Have it checked by your Apple store as soon as you can. One of the few things I don't like messing around with laptops is the LCD (since these cost a LOT!). Also, if you happpen to break it any further, even your warranty may not cover it if its considered "negligent use", "abuse", or "accidental damage."

I took it to an applecare centre today, but was told my warrenty wouldnt cover it, and it would be £40 to have it checked, plus the cost of the repair! ASny other suggestions?
