the pointer is so small on my 17"
where o where do i find a bigger one?
unlike windows i see no OBVIOUS way to increase it's size

Perhaps you shouldn't have it at such a high resolutoin if you can't see the cursor.

Otherwise there are no options in System Preferences you would have to get a cursor changing app like Mighty Mouse to do it.

i appreciate the info
i can see the cursor well
but you know that in windows (which we all hate) you can change the size of the pointers at will
why doesn't mac allow that?

Um, you would rather have him choose something other than the native resolution of the LCD so everything is interpolated and looks crappy?

I'm not sure why Apple doesn't have this feature built in. But you can change your cursor using Unsanity's Mighty Mouse if you really want to.
