hi all... my new 17" 1.5GHz Powerbook's screen is starting to warp slightly already, when the lid is closed you can see that the center is bowed in lower to the latches then the left and right sides of the lid... i was thinking of buying those little rubber pads that one of the Mac sites offers for giving even cushioning all the way around the screen, will those help w/ this situation, maybe straighten it out some? any tips would be nice, its nothing terrible but since its happening so quickly i'm thinking i should do something preventative now before it gets a lot worse.

any input or opinion would be greatly appreciated, thx all..!

I think that slight bowing is normal. My 15 is that way too.

mine didn't used to be like this, its happened over the course of right under two weeks since i bought it, i assumed from general usage its starting to warp on its own... i've seen pictures of some 17" units that are terribly warped, just don't want mine to end up that way..!
