Hi,

I don't know if this should be posted in the "Peripherals"
forums... Maybe it is a problem with my powerbook? I've
just bought a Nokia 7610 phone. Since I do not have a
bluetooth enabled Powerbook, I try to sync it via USB.
But as soon as I plug the USB cord in my USB hub, I get
a Kernel panic (the screen goes gray and I got a message
"please reboot your computer...")

So, am I doing something wrong? At least I do hope that
I can sync my phone with my powerbook via USB... I made
a search for this problem on the "Peripherals", "Mac OS X"
and "Powerbook" forums withouth finding anything...

Any suggestions?

iSync only supports Bluetooth connections with Symbian devices, so USB won't work in any case. On top of that, the 7610 has just hit the market and iSync hasn't been updated to support it yet.

Unfortunately you're going to have to get a Bluetooth adapter for your PowerBook and wait for iSync to be updated.

Oh boy... I should have done my homework before telling my
parents to offer me this phone... Not that computer connectivity
is that important for me, but still... I should have ask for the lower
end Motorola I guess... Anyway... I guess this will have to wait
till January... and the PbG5 (hopefully!) In the meantime, I'll just
use my uncle's PC...

Thanks for the info!

Well, I'm not really a "wireless" guy, so I think I got confused...
A bluetooth module is less than €50 on the Apple store, I'll get
one. For some weird reason, I was thinking about the Aiport card
with is more expensive...

Anyway, thanks again!
