Hi there.

I own a 12" AlBook purchased in January of 2003. Recently, the battery estimates that I get in both the Battery menu extra and the Energy Saver preference pane place my PowerBook's battery charge at 94 percent, with about 9 or 10 hours of life left. Obviously this is false.

Any ideas on how to correct these inaccuracies, short of a full system reinstall?

Have you tried re-calibrating the battery? If not follow the link below to get info on it:

I would try that first and then if that doesn't work, consider resetting the Power Management Unit (PMU):
