Has anyone done this to their machne?
Whats the difference between PC2100 and 2700 chips -

2700 is for faster bus speeds, ie. the 15" and 17" and now the Rev C 12". You could get 2700 RAM to install on a 2100 RAM slot but it'll work at 2100 speed. There are a few Rev A owners that have successfully installed 1gig of RAM, it could only make things run smoother IMHO.
NOW YOU SEE ME! 2.4 MBP and 2.0 MBP (running ubuntu)
