Anyone else out there seeing delays on BTO 15" Powerbooks? I sent my 1.25 GHz in to Apple to fix the white spots, they lost it and are now replacing it with the 1.5 (I paid to have them upgrade the HD and VRAM). It was supposed to ship no later than yesterday, and now they're telling me sometime between Friday and next Tuesday. 1 month down time and counting

I've heard rumors that LCD screens are in short supply again. I wonder if this is the cause.... I doubt that it means that there is a rev or anything.

Apple has some serious supply chain problems that need to work out. No iPod minis, no iMacs, few PowerMacs.... I know that they are trying to order conservativly to hold down the cost of their inventory, but now they are always out of product to sell!

I ordered a 1.5 ghz 15" PB as a BTO late on the evening of August 4 as a little birthday present to myself. I was given a ship date of on or before Aug 12. The powerbook shipped on Aug 7 and was in my hands first thing in the morning of Aug 11. The 20 gb click wheel iPod that I ordered is a whole other story though. I was given a ship date of Aug. 9. I received a shipment notice late on the evening of Aug. 9. The iPod is still sitting in Shanghai, China.
