Ok, thought I'd start a thread on external drives used with PowerBooks... what's your model, specs, what you use it for.

Here is mine:
FW 400/USB 2.0 Atlantia 3.5" external aluminium HD... small, fast, matches my TiBook pretty close, but I guess it would really match an AluBook!
WD Cavier 160 GB HD w/8MB cache. I have a Ti800, 60 gig 5400rpm HD, 768MB RAM, combo-drive.

I use it for back-ups, as a music server, as a cache disk for PS, and AE, and for video capture/editing.

here is the link for a pic:

Lets see what everybody else has.
Cheers,
raferx

Are you bored?
The worst thing about having a failing memory is..... no, it's gone.

i have an Iomega Mini-Drive that stores 128MB. no drivers are needed to use it. i can carry it in my pocket and attach it to my key ring. i use it to transfer files. the neatest thing is that it is painted silver and matches my PowerBook.

I just use an external Ximeta hard drive and connect it to my router so its available to any PC on the network. It has a USB2 connection as well, but I've never used it.
