I just bought a new Aluminum PowerBook and Cinema HD Display 23-inch and since I still have a 20" Cinema Display hanging around I was wonder if it's possible to hook up dual displays with this PowerBook?

I've never heard of a company offering an attachment to do this, but I figured I'd see if anyone here may know of a way.

Thanks!

Hey madgreek,

There's no way of having two seperate displays - the best you could hope for is mirroring on the two displays which would require a DVI switcher that allows the same single to be sent to two displays, which in turn would also require a DVI-ADC converter for the original 20" Cinema Display.

My suggestion would be to mail the display to me....

You may want to check this out, allows you to have up to THREE external monitors driven by your Powerbook:

I know theres another device out there that allows you to hook up two, but I cannot recall the name off the top of my head. They usually take DVI or Analog, so you will need a converter from ADC.

A bit pricy if you ask me, but doable.

The most I would go is just the 12/15/17 inch OEM monitor and one extra monitor.

If you want to do a 2 or 3 external monitor setup just get a nice G5 and an iBook

My evil ploy to deceive you failed.... I really had my heart set on that 20"

I'm really sorry on that one - I was wrong. Yet again...
