i use Mousezoom, but it doesn't speed up my mouse at all. when i open the prefs, and change the speed, the mouse/pad responds as it should, but returns to being slow as soon as i close the sys prefs window.

but if i log out, when i'm in the login window, it's fast again.

what gives?
