Hi,

I need your help because I do not know what is happening to my mac. The problem has occured three times in the past 24 hours.

It always occurs on battery. Eventhough, there is a lot of battery left according to the computer, roughly two hours, there is the light of the screen that suddenly turns off. Eventhough I plug it back, the light of the screen will not turn on.

Is it a problem with the PowerBook? a battery problem? a software problem - I have just installed 10.3.5?

Thanks for your help

you of course checked your energy settings in the system preferences?
maybe the screen is set to shut off too soon?

just a thought...

I did check the energy settings. The screen is put to sleep after one hour. So the problem is not from here.

I still got it today...

Please help me.

I dont mean to insult your smarts but when you check when the screen is put to sleep, make sure your running off your battery and not off the AC adapter. Your energy preference changes automatically when you unplug and replug your 'book. If you want a certain setting while running on battery, you have to change the setting while on battery, and vice versa with the AC adapter. I have mine set to Highest Performance on AC, and Longest Batt Time on battery, hope this solves things for ya.

Hmmmmmmmm............I do know that backlight related issues in the iBook (G3's) were due to bad logic boards. If I were you, I'd take it in to an Apple tech to see whats wrong with it.
