it shouldn't be an applecare issue. Its covered under the plain old warranty. Its two months old.
I went to the Santa Monica Applestore, and the genius reformatted the drive (I back up often, so I wasn't concerned) then re-loaded the OS, to no avail.
The Apple Hardware Test is kinda iffy. When I ran it the first time, it found a problem with the drive. When the genius ran it before the install, it showed no problem, then wouldn't boot after the install, so we ran it again. No problem. Still wouldn't boot.
Apple now has it. Too bad I sold my Ti 667. I'm using a thinkpad, and I really don't know how someone could ever put up with this thing. I'm having pc heeby jeebies.
