Hey, Im going to college and I would like a cable to hook up my 15" powerbook to my television for watching DVDs...with the computer came what looked to be an S-Video converter cable...What my question is what other cable would I need to buy to hook it up to my TV (My TV doesnt have an S-Video in jack so I'd need a way to convert to they red, yellow, and white AV cables). Thanks

You need an RCA cable. The yellow on your TV is video... the other two are audio. Basically you'd use that adapter and a cable that you can buy for $5 at radioshack and connect it to the yellow port marked video in on your TV. You'd still need sound, but you could just connect your speakers to the speaker/headphone port on your PB. No sound would be comming from your TVs speakers.

yep . I had the same question. you need a standard RCA cable from radio shak (12 foot shoud do). The S-Video out converts to RCA. For sound I recommend getting a mini-stero (1/8 inch) to double RCA cable. This way you can plug into both audio ports on a RCA capable DVD player. you probably will spend about 10 bucks at radioshak or Best Buy.

That would be a very good idea (the sound cable) if he wasn't planning on using those creature speakers and had a nice home audio setup... However for his needs the creatures will be fine
