I have a 15" 1.5ghz aluminum powerbook and a 20" cinema display, which I connect together using the Apple ADC to DVI converter. It's looking more and more like I'm going to have to purchase a PC for work purposes, and have started looking into KVM switches to share my display with the two systems.
Because I'm already using the ADC-to-DVI adapter for my laptop, I'm assuming I'll have to buy a KVM switch that supports splitting DVI to multiple systems.
Can anyone suggest a good KVM switch that will work with this setup well? Are there KVM switches that support firewire? I'm planning to purchase a PC that has firewire support and it would be good to have this switched via the KVM.
Thanks, everyone!
Neil

You might like to check for Mac compatibility of the support kind, but I don't see a good reason why it shouldn't just work with your Powerbook. This doesn't have firewire though.
Also remember that it won't change what is displayed on your 15" screen
and you'll need a USB keyboard and mouse to hook up to it.

Before you buy a KVM, try logging in to your PC using RDC first. Running XP in a window on your Mac is far more convenient than using a KVM.

Thanks, but that won't work for what I need - if it was just running Windows, I'd use Virtual PC and be done with it. I need full access to a Windows machine as the work I'm doing is processor / GPU heavy, so running over a network connection isn't an option.
I guess they don't make KVM with firewire connections yet. I've been looking at the Dr. Bott MoniSwitch DVI, which looks like it does most of what I'm looking for:

It's kind of pricey but says it comes with all of the required cables, which might make things easier.
