I've been using my iBook G4 1Ghz with the screen spanning hack and a 17" CRT at 1280x960 since I got it. However when I play game, it would be nice to get all 32mb of VRAM on the external display. Is there some way to completely deactivate the LCD?

not sure if clamshell works on the iBook or not, but you'd need an external mouse and keyboard. maybe turn the monitor off at about 3 minutes via system prefs?

yup, mouse, keyboard and PLUGGED IN for clamshell. should work. might have to play with a blank desktop though, cause it might be smart to keep the ibook open while you game for heat issues.

dont forget to go in the displays prefpane and drag the white menubar over to the external monitor.
