I was having burn errors on CDs and DVDs on my SuperDrive. I was pretty sure it was related to it being dirty so I took the thing apart and cleaned it. I documented the process for others that might have the issue.

This is the easiest to take apart Apple laptop that I have ever had.

Wow, that's something I won't trust myself to do however I just have one question; was there something wrong with having Apple do this for you? If you are having burn errors then whatever is wrong with the Superdrive should be covered under warranty provided there's no physical damage or unsupported firmware installed.

Well, he mentions on his website that its been with him for 2 years...I wouldn't be surprised if the warranty has ran out.

Oh, my mistake. Didn't take time to read the whole thing. Still that pretty risky business.
