I've got an iBook G4 that won't open...the little center keyboard screw was turned more (by the owner) than the recommended half-turn. The right and left clips pop, but that plastic screw is still holding down the keyboard. I'm going to install an Airport Extreme card when I get it open... Any ideas?

I cannot believe this, turn the screw upto 180 degrees in any direction, it does not matter which way...

When I do, it doesn't loosen. I have no idea how many times the owner turned it, so I have no idea of where the locking mechanism may be at (or...in place...)

Hmm... seems the mechanism is broken, as normally it locks and unlocks with every 180 degrees... now I am clueless.
Btw I just noticed that you maybe can slide the middle ("screw"-)key as a whole a little up and down, slide it with something as much as possible towards the touchpad, then maybe you can free the keyboard by putting a screwdriver behind it, beginning from one top corner. Be gentle.
