I know someone who will sell me a 256MB memory chip for my Powerbook. This is the original Apple chip that comes standard in (most) Powerbooks. He will sell it to me for $50. My question is, is that a good price or not?

Thanks

Well, considering that Apple RAM warranty expires when the machine's warranty expires... Otherwise, it virtually never bad RAM.

Good RAM but not a good price. Considering the expensive Apple memory, lots of people upgrade their new powerbooks immediately after they get it and sell their original 256 MB sticks on ebay. Search on ebay for "256MB PC2700 Powerbook" and compare.
