I am having two problems with my G4 Powerbook (most recent model) when it awakes from sleep mode.

1) My external USB mouse no longer functions. I have to unplug and plug it in again to get it working. This happens no matter which USB port I plug into.

2) I am using an external monitor and have set up a display profile so that the contrast, color, etc are more accurate. Whenever the computer wakes from sleep mode, OS X switches back to the monitors original profile and I have to go back to the display system preferences to get it back on the "calibrated" profile.

Any help would be appreciated.

Just a shot-in-the-dark first thing to try: reset the PMU. You'll have to check Apple's knowledge base to be sure, but I think on that machine it's shift-ctrl-option-power, when the machine is off, the power is connected, and the battery is out.
