Just curious cause I think I might just run to the store and grab one of these babies. After reading abt. 3 millions posts and hanging out in 8 different mac forums for about a month now, I think my hands are getting very very itching for a sweet PB. So, how does it run UT04 or other games? I would like to play to some games when on the go to kill time.

Thanks!!

If they did release PB update in november, then I'll really have to kick myself in the arse... I think I'm dreaming about those PB day and night. This is painful!!!

Won' fit into a 1" enclosure, except with a water colling unit to be worn as a backpack!

... or you can take the marketing approach: put it in but seriously downclock it.

It will get about the same framerate as a movie theatre(I think).

I think Apple has always downclocked its mobile chips. Apparently they are doing the same to the desktop 9600 too. By the time the 9800M is adopted it should be running better. Possibly there will even be another revision by January. Mobile graphics are being updated as fast as desktop cards these days and ATI is very good with power management. Just look at the difference between Nvidia's 6800 and ATI's X800 and also how well the 9700 performs compared to Nvidia's offerings.

I personally think Nvidia is going to go down like 3dFX did. Their chips are running too hot, taking up too much space and now they are trying for SLI (two cards rendering at once).

Halo, Max Payne, Tomb Raider, Soldiers of Fortune II, Jedi Academy, Warcraft III, Civilization, Age of Mythology, and a ton of other games run GREAT on my Rev C. 17". Got everything maxed out, 128MB VRAM, 2GB RAM, 5400RPM 80GB. Great machine, especially when playing Halo in class...he he he.
It's just an ordinary day and it's all your
