I have been contemplating on getting the new ACD 20" to go with my 12" 1.33. The one thing that concerns me is the fan noise that, from what I hear, is always on when connected to the ACD. For those of you use your pb with the ACD, do you find the fan noise problematic or irritating? Please advise. Thanks.

I just got an older 20" with my rev b 12" and the fan is definitely on a lot more now. Not all the time, but almost. Doesn't really bug me though, still a lot quieter than a desktop.

Note that I'm using it in clamshell (closed) mode.

I know it is not the same but I use my rev.b 12inch with a 21inch Viewsonic CRT and the fan does not come on all the time. Any time I have my PC on I can hear the Powerbook any way.
