All right, this isn't scientific and isn't meant to be. I know more people tell about bad experiences than good ones, whatever the product. But I'm hoping to get a decent idea of the problems with (white) G3 iBooks versus the new G4 'books. If you have an iBook, please weigh in with your experience, especially if you've had no problems! I've had two iBook G3s, both in multiple times with logic board problems, among other things. I'm hoping this junk has been cleared up in the G4 revision. Can anyone give me some good news?

Cool, that's good news. How long has she had it?

For the record, I've had this iBook about 10 months. I'd had my old iBook 500 for probably a year and a half when its logic board problems started.

I have a G4 iBook which has run flawlessly, atlhough it does run hotter than other iBook's I've used so we shall see.

I have 2 friends with iBook G4's that have had no problems, and 2 friends with iBook G3 800's with no problems.

iBook 600 G3 (now my sister's) - no problems at all, about 2.5 years old
iBook 800 G3 - had to get video cable replaced due to wear from the hinge, about 1.5 years old
