My AC adapter, plugged into my new G4 iBook, gets extremely hot to the touch. Is this normal? I keep it plugged in to re-charge the battery while using the iBook. Why should it get so hot? AC adapters on other battery charged items never get hot.

Yup, mine gets very hot too, does cool right down when it has fully charged the iBook though, nothing to worry about.

Is it recommended to work off of AC power whenever possible? Like in an office? I'm guessing that saves battery wear...
