Hi folks,

New 1.33Ghz PB G4 15" here. Built-in 256MB DDR SDRAM. I purchased a 512MB stick from MemoryX ( http://www.memoryx.net/m8995ga1.html ) to install.

After inserting and restarting the PB, the computer still thinks the 2nd memory slot is empty. Can't figure out what I'm doing or not doing, assuming this memory stick is compatible with my computer.

E.g. the 512MB stick doesn't seem to slide 'all the way' into the empty memory card slot, but then the metal hinges around it snap it into place as it is.

Any suggestions or advice?

You should put the memory into the slot correctly. Check on the user guide of the powerbook. It describes how to insert memory.

try contacting the dealer...
if the ram is good, and inserted correctly it should show up.

maybe repair permissions after installing...
