Can a dead pixel be resurrected?

I've read that sometimes a stuck pixel can be corrected by massaging it but can a dead pixel also be massaged back to life?

at best- doubtful.

Apple reccommends that you never massage your display as it could damage the fragile electronics behind the LCD.

i'm agreeing with anamexis ... dont try to fix a dead pixel... it's called dead for a reason .. but stuck pixels ... i'd be willing to massage one of those ... =P
