Yes, what is up? If I use this 12" G3 ibook for more than three hours, it suddenly goes off. If I plug the power in, it will light up and resume. But there's no warning like I used to get. It's stock (well, extra RAM added when I got it), running all the latest (10.3.5, etc.) sw. I'm using it at school, sometimes without access to powerplugs, so it's pretty worrisome...Any info appreciated.

G3 iBooks are notorious for bad logic boards, which caused some owners to have to use their iBooks at a certain degree open because of loose connections or what not.

In your case I think you have a battery issue, try calibrating your battery (let it run on batt. juice till the machine turns off, then charge the sucker up) after that reset your PRAM (restart and hold down opt-cmd-r-p during startup till you hear a second startup sound), and if it still doesn't work right you might wanna reset your PMU (turn off your machine press the shift-opt-cmd-power button simultaneously and then restart your computer make sure you don't hit the fn key while pressing those keys). If all this doesn't help, I don't know what else to suggest.
NOW YOU SEE ME! 2.4 MBP and 2.0 MBP (running ubuntu)
