The spacebar on my three week old PB is beginning to squeak. It squeaks just slightly (but enough to post about ) if I use my right thumb to press it. There appears to be 3 spring mechanism-things under the spacebar, one on th left, one in the middle, and one on the right. It is the right one that is squeaking only.

I bet a tiny tiny drop of lubricating oil or something similar will do the trick, the trick is to get the oil where it needs to go. Is it possible to just pop off the key or can I somehow access the kb in a different manner so that I can lubricate my spacebar? Perhaps I can finesse a dab of lubricating oil in with a toothpick or bent paper clip, but I would like to know of an easier way if there is one.

Just glad the only "imperfection" on my PB is this, not a funky latch or wobbly foot or something like that!

As it is possible to take off F1, F2, F11 and F12 to remove the keyboard, why shouldn't it be possible to take the cap off the space key. Anyway, you might want to take out the entire keyboard anyway to have a look at it. ymmv.
