Hi everyone, I am a newbie to Mac, so please excuse my stupid questions.

I bought a mini-DVI to Video adapter and hooked up my powerbook with my TV so that I can play movies with my powerbook. The question is, is it possible to choose TV as the only video output? I would like to keep the movie playing with my powerbook's lid close (I dont care about the over-heat issue)

In windows enviornment user can simply choose the video output by pressing Fn+F7 (LCD only, LCD and TV, TV only). Do they have something similar in Mac?

I know there are quite a few workaround like:
1) Use an external mouse to wake up the powerbook with the lid close
2) Turn down the contrast until the LCD turn off itself

But I am looking for a better solution.

Thanks for your help
