Has anyone purchased an iLap stand from rain design (www.raindesigninc.com)? If so, mind posting some impressions? For example, is it stable/sturdy? Does the PB sit securely on the aluminum surface even when the wrist cushion is removed? Does the aluminum surface really help to dissipate heat coming off the bottom of the Al PB?

I have one, I really like it... I could imagine that given the right amount of heat+oils it would slip. I tend to leave the wrist rest on anyways as I have an external keyboard etc. It is not really designed to dissipate heat as there is always space between the bottom of the laptop and the stand anyways. It's advantage would be minimal at best.

All things considered I do like it and it does make a nice (attractive) lap stand.

It looks really nice, but there isn't any room for a mouse/trackball. If it had room for that, I would buy one.
