Hi all,
I've recieved my Powerbook and I've got Applecare sitting here and I'm just wondering when it should be registered?
I'm going to be moving tomorrow and I'm not sure how long it will take to set the net connection up at my new place. So should I register tonight, and if so, how long will it take?
Also, what would happen if I waited to register it? Anything or nothing? Or is it all already registered when I bought the Powerbook, and the CD is just a demonstration/help CD for info on Applecare?
Cheers.

It only takes a few minutes to register it online. I believe you have to register it before the initial one-year warranty expires (I could be wrong, though).

Yes you must register before the 1 year warranty runs out.

You are supposed to register the Apple Care before the 1 Year warranty runs out. However if you fail to send in the Warranty card or do the Online as long as you can find the Original receipts or sales invoice you can call Apple Customer support and they will Have you fax them a whole bunch of stuff to prove that the Applecare was bought before the 1 year warranty ran out. It will take them about 7-10 days to get it all cleared up and run through to the Apple stores as showing a valid warranty. Thank god I was able to since I forgot and had a problem with my ibook after 18 months

There is no advantage of delaying the AppleCare registration because the AppleCare only adds two additional years after the day of your free 1 year warranty runs out.
So no matter when you registers it, your AppleCare protection ends in three years after the day your Mac (not AppleCare) is purchased and registered.
So register it immediately before you forget it.
