I bought the composite/S-Video adaptor for my iBook G4 to plug into a Panasonic 32" widescreen CRT tv. The iBook can only output at 4:3 resolutions, so either I have to live with a seriously squashed image with the TV set to Justify or 16:9 mode, or have big black bars going down the sides.
Is there any solution? I understand it would be different if I had a Plasma or LCD TV which was connected via a VGA or DVI plug.
I can't say definitively, as I have not tried this. However, my understanding is that you would need a Powerbook to have different external and internal resolutions. Hence, widescreen output would be different from the internal video.
