i bought my 15" powerbook earlier this year, as a refurb. from day one the sleep light has never worked. it was not a big enough deal to me to have it sent away for a few days, so we (apple support guy and i) decided that if something else goes wrong with it, or i can spare it away for a few days to phone them back.

the latch died. i phoned them back and i received the box on tuesday, got my powerbook back today. (awesome service )

i was wondering if anyone could tell me what these parts are that were replaced/worked on.
603-1652 - bzl subassy, pb15"
011-0520 - cts - reseat connector
605-0458 - svc, pc card cage assy/cbl assy, pb15"

one main thing that is perplexing is that the hinge feels so much smoother than it was before i sent it in. just wondering if any of those parts have anything to do with the hinge. or if the hinge creaking thing is because of the heat causing the hinge to expand and my powerbook has not been on long enough for the hinge to expand.

I guess the first part is short for "bezel assembly", which I would think is the button at the front containing the sleep light.

the first one is bezel subassembly, the second is probably just reconecting some loose connecter somewhere and the third is the pc card slot assembly and its respective cables.
