My GF wanted a new comp so I leaned her towards Mac's and I found her a deal on a 12" G4 iBook 800MHz stock for $750 US after tax and shipping, we already ordered it but is this a good deal for somebody who wont be using any intensive apps, or should I drop the order?

Looks cool to me. Don't forget to add a few dollars to bump up the RAM a little, though (even just an additional 256MB).

Got that covered with an old 512MB of PC2100 from my PB that I just pumped to 1.25GB. How long do you think this comp can last before becoming useless. Her uses are iTunes, Office, Web and Email, iPhoto nothing to complex.

Quite a while. My TiBook/667 is far from useless. I use it much more than my Athlon.

Now, that would be telling.

*observing his own rapidly ageing iBook losing even more value on the open market*

ClubMac, blowout deals. I don't know if they have anymore, seeing how my order has been backordered for the last week and a half.
