I had my laptop in my backpack, but my bro didn't know it was in there. So he tossed to to the floor and it went crunch. Got all bent up and a huge scratch in the screen.
So I took it into the AppleStore and showed him the problems with it. Apple Genius said that cosmetic damages aren't covered by the AppleCare warranty, even scratches on the LCD (this thing left a white halo around the scratch.)
I told him to send it in anyway, maybe I'll get lucky.
I got a letter back with proof of repair. They didn't fix the dents on the case, but they did replace the LCD. That was the most important part. I can probably bend back some of the dents and use aluminmum paint to fill in where it's chipped.
Anyway, brand new LCD. I'm super happy. Apple kicks ass.
Edit: I sent it in Monday, got it back today. 6 day turn around, not too shabby; and they delivered it Express Mail for the weekend.
