iBook G4 running 10.3.5. When plugged into A/C adaptor, battery level stays constant, won't charge but doesn't discharge. I have verified it is not a battery problem, because two different batteries show same problem on this iBook, yet will fully charge on another iBook.

And its not the A/C adaptor, I've swapped them.

I reset PMU and that didn't help.

I suspect the harware itself is at fault. The color on the A/C adaptor (green = charged, yellow = charging) does not light up when plugged into this iBook.

Any suggestions? Thanks

sounds like you are right and that it is a problem with the ibook itself. I wouldn't waste any more time trying to fix it yourself I would bring it in to an apple store and have it replaced

No light at all on the AC adapter? That sounds like a bad DC-in board. I have never seen that cause the other issues you are describing, but if the lights on the AC adapter don't light up correctly on known good adapters, that's a bad DC-in board.
