hey everybody, I have a question to ask, and am fairly new to macs, i have a powerbook g4 and have come to face with a problem that has left me stuck. Last night i was watching a dvd and was running on batteries (i left my powercord at work) and it gave me a message along the lines of "ur batterie is now running on backup energy" or something like that, i didnt take much attention to it cause my movie was on...i think that was a bad mistake. About 5-10min later the computer shutdown and went into sleep mode, WITH my dvd still in the drive, and the computer had no sign of comin back online. Is there any possible way that i can get the dvd out WITHOUT turning the computer back on? because i know on IBM's they have the pin-hole type hole that u can pop a pin in, and it opens the drive, but since my mac has the "slip in" driver or w/e, that option to me is gone. SO any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Gid

On the slot-load drives, it's a mechanical inject/eject. The machine actually has to be running.

Outside of taking the actual drive apart (which is NOT recommended), that is correct.
