I know this machine has serious issues, so I'm checking to see if anyone else has had similar issues.

On power up, the machine dropped into Open Firmware with the above error. Googling the error only revealed that it is located in the Mac OS ROM file. On second boot, I got a chime, but nothing else. Performed a PMU reset, and now the machine doesn't even chime. The caps lock key lights up, but that's all.

This is a 333MHz Lombard. I tried the processor module in a known good 400MHz Lombard and got nothing. I tried the 400MHz module in this machine and also got nothing. I would expect that I should be able to switch those out, but the fact that neither worked looks very odd--as that would imply that the bad Lombard has more than one part bad--likely the processor and the logic board.

Any input would be appreciated--even if you can just say that the processor swap has worked for you.

Thanks.

For those that were wondering: I got in touch with Apple, and they agreed that the processor swap should have worked.
