My 667 Powerbook is making some type of weird clicking noise on occassion. I had first thought it was the hard drive but after replacing it twice with the same ticking noise showing up on occassion (oddly enough, it starts to make this quiet noise but every time I go to record it using Sound Recorded it stops, argh!).

Anyway, I emailed Tekserve (http://tekserve.com/) here in NYC for an estimate and they told me it sounded like it was likely the logic board and the repair would cost me about $400.

Does anybody else have any other repair shops that they would reccomend or have any opinion on whether fixing the logic board is worthwhile considering the Powerbook is still running fine?

Thanks in advance.

lol

I'll check you out. I'm still waiting to get it fixed and am not sure what exactly is wrong with it at this point.

While TekServe said its the logic board for some reason I think it could be the power supply but what the heck do I know, I guess.
