Hey Peeps,
I am looking to purchase a gig ram stick for my 15" rev b. I can't wait forever, so I am not looking to use outpost. What are people's experiences with kingston/micron memory? I have found a site that sells it for 260.00 is that fair?
Thanks,
Chris

One of the machines where I work has a 1GB Kingston "Value RAM" (single SO-DIMM) and has worked perfectly for several months so far. It's a 17-inch Powerbook.

Just this week I bought memory from OWC for $237, it was $245 with overnight shipping. I my hand literally 24 hours after I ordered it. Guaranteed to work in PB, works fine so far.

How do these compare to some that explicitly state that they have a low-power-drain? Samsung has one such model, and it cost CDN$500 as opposed to the regular RAM's price of CDN$400 (source: http://www.canadaram.com/macram.html)

I got the Kingmax for $190 from NewEgg, and haven't had any problems with it for two months. It really is nice having that much RAM.
