anyone having ibook g4 sleep problems since the 10.3.6 update? my ibook will sleep for one or two pulses of the pulsing sleep indicator, then the optical drive will start up (no disk inserted) and go out of sleep. it will not go back to sleep after that. happens both when lid is closed or i choose sleep in the menu. any thoughts?

Have you tried resetting the PMU?

I'm not familiar with Macs, how do you do that? What do you lose if you do that?

i think it was the ATI radeon 4.4.2?? software thing i installed...i trashed that (and some other older shareware apps) and things worked fine. my other thought was the PMU, but i didn't have to do that...
