Three and a half weeks for my TiBook too. It was a defect firewire and thus a motherboard exchange. It was clear from applying the hardware diagnosis cd that the firewire had a probblem before I send the powerbook in. But instead of ordering a motherboard and telling me to send in my Powerbook after the motherboards were in stock, I had to send in the powerbook, then they ordered motherboards etc.
Worst experience with a service I ever had. Not to mention the problems afterwards because the TiBook came back with parts missing.
I had to buy a used Pismo to do my work in the meantime. The whole thing was more expensive for me than a new TiBook would have been, because of the Pismo and the work that could not be done. Never bought Apple Care again since then.
